Returns & Refunds

We want you to love your hire experience with The Curve Room.
This guide explains how returns, refunds, and credits work for our dress hire service.It’s designed to be clear and fair, while protecting our garments so that all customers can enjoy them.


1. General Policy

When you book a hire with The Curve Room, you are agreeing to our Rental Agreement and this Returns & Refunds Guide.
Because our garments are reserved especially for you, certain timeframes and conditions apply.


2. If You Need to Cancel Your Booking

Note: Refunds are processed back to your original payment method and may take 3–5 business days to appear.


3. If the Dress Doesn’t Fit

  • You must contact us within 24 hours of receiving the dress.
  • Post it back the same or next business day using the prepaid return satchel provided.
  • Once we confirm the garment is in the same condition, you’ll receive a credit note for the hire price, minus a $20–$30 return and handling fee.
  • Credit notes are valid for 6 months and can be used for any future hire.


4. If the Dress Arrives Damaged

  • Inspect the dress immediately upon delivery.
  • If you notice damage, email us photos within 24 hours and return the dress using the prepaid satchel.
  • If we confirm the damage was not caused during your hire, we will provide a full refund or credit note (your choice).


5. COVID-19 or Event Cancellation

  • If your event is cancelled before we dispatch the dress, you may choose a full credit note.
  • If your event is cancelled after dispatch, a credit note will be issued minus postage costs.


6. Late Returns

  • All garments must be posted back on the agreed return date.
  • Late returns may incur a $25 per day late fee up to 200% of the garments RRP.


7. Damage, Stains, or Loss

  • Normal wear and light marks are expected, but:

    • Significant damage, permanent stains, or alterations may result in repair or replacement fees.
    • If a garment is lost or beyond repair, you will be charged up to 200% of its retail value.


8. How to Return Your Dress

  1. Place the dress in the original protective bag.
  2. Use the prepaid Post satchel provided.
  3. Drop it at an Australia Post outlet before 4pm on your return date (get a lodgement receipt).


9. Credit Notes

  • Are non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash.
  • Valid for 12 months from issue date.
  • Can be used toward any hire.


10. Australian Consumer Law

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in addition to this policy. If your hire garment is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
